Beady Eye Returning To North America Fall 2011

Beady Eye will return to North America this fall in a series of concerts beginning in Vancouver, BC on November 29th and ending in New York City on December 9th.
Beady Eye (Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock) just wrapped their North American live debut with sold-out shows in New York, Chicago, Toronto and Philadelphia to rave reviews. The Chicago Tribune was there for the band’s first U.S. date and noted “You can take the band out of the stadium, but you can’t take the stadium out of the band, and Beady Eye whipped through songs from its debut Different Gear, Still Speeding Saturday with the confidence of a seasoned act with nothing to prove.”

Dangerbird Supporting Record Store Day with Releases from Skysaw & Beady Eye

Record Store Day is one day every year where artists, performers, industry folks, and music fans come together to celebrate independent music. It’s a day filled with free in-store performances, exclusive releases, and more.
This Saturday, April 16, Dangerbird will be supporting Record Store Day by releasing an exclusive Skysaw 7”, and a limited edition Beady Eye 7” box set.
Skysaw’s No One Can Tell 7” includes the title track “No One Can Tell” and the b-side of “Serrated” from the band’s upoming full-length, Great Civilizations. No One Can Tell serves as the debut release from this new prog-rock project from acclaimed drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, Mike Reina, and Anthony Pirog.
The Beady Eye box set includes three 7” singles for “Bring The Light,” “Four Letter Word,” and “The Roller” plus the b-sides “Sons of the Stage,” “World Outside My Room,” and “Two of A Kind.” Also included are three live Beady Eye songs from a KEXP radio session in February.
Also happening on Record Store Day, in-store performances from Maritime (in Milwaukee at Exclusive Company 4pm) and The One AM Radio (in Los Angeles at Vacation Vinyl 3pm).

This Saturday April 16, Beady Eye will release an exclusive 7-inch box set in celebration of Record Store Day.
The box set is limited to 2,000 copies (available in the USA only) and includes three 7” singles for “Bring The Light,” “Four Letter Word,” and “The Roller,” each featuring a rare b-side. Also included in the box is a 13×19” poster & digital download of three live tracks recorded for KEXP Radio in Seattle.
Fans can find the box at local independent music stores listed on the Record Store Day website.

Beady Eye "Millionaire" Music Video Premiere on Facebook
The music video for Beady Eye‘s latest single, “Millionaire” from the album Different Gear, Still Speeding is premiering today on the Beady Eye Facebook Page.
The video was shot in Spain last month between dates on the band’s recent European tour.
Bassist Andy Bell explains the story behind the song — “the song “Millionaire” was written in 2007. I wrote it after a trip to Spain. It was springtime, it was still snowing in Sweden, and I happened to be talking to my mate Iain, who I know from years back in Oxford. He’d moved out to Barcelona a few years before, and he just said get yourself over here for a week…” Read more.

Beady Eye Cover "Across The Universe" for Japan Tsunami Benefit

Before Sunday Night’s Japan Disaster Benefit at the Brixton Academy in London, Beady Eye entered RAK Studios to record their version of The Beatles’ “Across The Universe” to raise money to help the victims of the tsunami in Japan.
Today, Beady Eye have released the track for a limited time through their website. All proceeds go directly toward the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal.

Beady Eye To Play Japan Disaster Benefit April 3rd

In response to the disaster in Japan last week, a collection of Britain’s finest rock musicians have come together to present a very special event at the start of April.
Beady Eye, along with Richard Ashcroft, The Coral, Graham Coxon, Primal Scream and Paul Weller, are gathering on April 3rd at London’s Brixton O2 Academy for a concert to benefit those who have been affected by the recent earthquakes and subsequent tsunami in Japan.

Due to overwhelming response, Beady Eye have added an extra date to their North American tour in June.

Beady Eye To Release Debut Album on Dangerbird Records March 1

Dangerbird is incredibly proud to welcome Beady Eye (Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer and Andy Bell from Oasis, plus Chris Sharrock) and announce the March 1st release of their debut album, Different Gear, Still Speeding on Beady Eye Music/Dangerbird Records in North America.
Different Gear, Still Speeding features 13 brand new songs written by the band and recorded at RAK Studios in London last fall with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Steve Lillywhite (U2, Dave Matthews Band).
“Like just about everyone else on the planet, I’ve been a fan of Liam’s voice since I first heard it, and I’m thrilled to be a part of his evolution as an artist,” Jeff Castelaz, CEO of Dangerbird said. “Beady Eye is a fresh new act with its own sound, and we’re honored to have them join Dangerbird’s gang.”
In addition to the U.S. and Canadian releases on Beady Eye Music/Dangerbird Records, Different Gear, Still Speeding will be released worldwide outside of North America on the band’s own Beady Eye Records, and boasts “The Roller” as its first official single. Canadian and U.S. fans can view “The Roller” video on YouTube.
Beady Eye was formed by three former members of Oasis, including enigmatic front man and lead vocalist Liam Gallagher. The multi-platinum and Grammy nominated Oasis sold over 70 million albums worldwide spanning seven studio albums awarded with six Brit awards, 15 NME awards, nine Q awards and four MTV Europe Music awards, just to name a few. Beady Eye’s inaugural European Tour in March this year sold out within 30 minutes of going on sale. They will be joined by Matt Jones on keyboards and Jeff Wootton on bass for these dates.
